Woohoo another new episode drop! This one starts off with the girls being so happy to be reunited again even though Zibby is still in Scotland. Then they got distracted doing New Zealand accents and talking about farts. LOL I can’t with these two they are so funny.

Alex and Zibby tell us they have some special guests that are going to join! The first two guests are Kandyce McClure (Kaia on Virign River) and Collin Lawrence (Preacher Virgin River)! The converation started with them catching up some, talking about the weather and time of year. Colin mentioned that it was his wifes birthday. She was out walkiung the dogs. The girls talked with Kandyce about her photoshoot and how gorgeous she looked. They read each of them fan comments about their episodes.The fans left some lovely compliments. Kandyce talked about the anticipation for Virgin River’s Season 6 and the reception she has recieved from it. Colin said he’s exicted to get back to work and he felt the Season 6 really delivered. Colin talked about how his freind asked him if he ever thought when he started acting that he’d be on a global number one show!

The girls had a little time before the next guests come on. They talked about being anxious before the Seaosn 6 came out. Alex talked about media interviews and the likes making her nervous and Zibby related. She was anxious too for some of the same reasons as Alex but also some different reasons. Zibby suggested next time they go into it together and help each other beforehand. She was comofroted to know she wasn’t alone in it.

The next two guests were Marco and Ben!! Marco was on video in his car. He was out there because its quieter but the girls trolled him a little bit. It was funny! Lol! The girls also asked them about the anticipation for Season 6. They talked about how it was so well recepted and related to the anxiety of it but overall are happy with how everything turned out. I think it was different for all of them due to the press they had to do for this season, and then it being a big season. They also talked about the big cliff hanger with the three of them. Ben said he didkn’t know about the big Mike/Brie cliff hanger. Ben talked about how his wife is a criminaoloigist and has an amazing theory on how Mike knew about Brie/Brady sleeping together. He didnt’ want to get into the theory because its so good but said he’d tell them off camera. Ben talked about Brady and how he played him. I loved hearing him talk about the whole storyline there. Alex said it was her favorite cliffhanger. Next the girls wanted to read them comments as well that fans left for them about their episodes. The girls talked about how the fans love the pod and thanked them for being a part of it. Ben is telling them they should follow up in another ep to talk about Season 6.

Their next guest was Tim Mattheson! They were all so happy to see each other. Tim said he’d been rewatching the show over again and complilmented the girls on it. Alex talked about how they have similar take on things. Next they asked him how his book tour was going and he said its been great interacting with the fans and getting compiments on the show, and the girls. They talked about Mel and Jack’s wedding.

Tim talked about how he likes the pace of the show now rather than before when two weeks was like 4 seasons. Alex talked about delivering Lizzie’s baby next Season. Tim said he heard that they do. Zibby then asked him about how the response feels to him. He said he that he its so odd to have a pause between when they do the work and when it comes out. He said he was satisified about the advertising and the response of the show. He doesn’t go on social media much to follow but what he did know is that it was positive reception. Tim feels like a lot of it was the big wedding with Mel and Jack, and the Brie, Brady. Mike triangle being satisfying. Tim said how he wasn’t as involved much in the wedding so it was great for him to be able to take a step back and take it all in.

Tim brought up loving the flashbacks of Mel’s parents. Alex talked about how she loved that and love that it would open it up to other characters like seeing a young Doc. They talked about fan feeedback online and how they don’t read it much and try to be careful becasue it can make them anxious some. Tim talked about how he used Alex’s quote on the back of his book. Alex was blown away that of all quites he chose hers. So cute! She said it made her feel special. The girls then read him some fan comments about his episode of the podcast he did prior. Zibby talked about her dad watched the podcast. Tim got on a discussion about filming long hours. They are all excited to get back to film Season 7. Tim is in LA, Alex asked abotu how the air was. He said it was better. He talked about how he was in Seattle when the fires took place, and that his wife was evacuated but the fire went a different direction so they were spared. He talked about how crazy it was the winds they had.

The girls wrapped up the rest of the pod with Zibby thanking everyone for an amazing season of support and love. They said its not the end of the pod. They said again they are going to do their monthly AMAs. It does sound like they are going to have a Season 2.

This was such a great episode! Loved hearing from everyone again and they all had such great discussions!! Love this pod! Make sure you sub up if you haven’t yet!

Alex was recently interviewed by Rachel BIlson and Olivia Allen on their podcast Broad Ideas. It’s such a great interview! The pod episode starsts off with Alex talking about her kids being 15 months a part. Olivia blew Alex’s mind when she mentioned they worked together on the Romy and MIchelle movie that Alex did. Alex told the story ofhow she found out she was pregnant with her daughher Billie. She was doing some pickeling with her friends and started getting sick. They insisted she take a pregnancy test and she was in denial about it until she took one. She said she probably only would have had her son but her daughter wasn’t planned and she wouldn’t trade her little girl for the world. You can tell she loves her kids so much and loves her little girl.

Rachel and Olivia asked Alex about living in Georgia. Alex explained how she and her husband had looked at different places but chose the small town they live in Georgia. She talked about the kids and their schooling. She really wanted the kids to grow up normally and felt this was the right place. She said she lives in the woods on 5 acres of land and loves it. Her son goes to a real small school that she compares to Little House on The Prairie. She said he does really well there and likes it. Her daughter goes to more of a regular school.

One thing that Alex opened up more about in this interview was her mother. She talked about growing up and then went onto talk about losing her mother at a young age to addictio and how the last 5 years of her life they didn’t really talk. I am so proud of Alex for opening about such a hard topic. Both girls related to her on it and they spent some time talking about it. It was such a great interview and I highly encourge you all to go watch it!

Well guys this is it! I’m finally caught up on the pod! The next reviews/recaps I do after this will be shorter than the others since they’ll only be one episode. This has been so much for fun me, for real!! One thingI want to mention before I get into the review./recap is that this podcast has taught me and made me realize that even the most beautiful of actresses can be hard on themselves, or have self confidence issues at times. It always shows just how beautiful and meaningful the right kind of friendship can be. I’m so glad these girls have each other in this life to hellp them get through! I am so proud of them for al lthey have opened about and how corageous, they both are, how honest, open, authentic, and real they are with each other and everyone else even those they interviewed! I can’t wait for the second season! Thank you Zibby and Alex for sharing this with us!

The next episode was with Patrick Sean Smith who is Virgin River’s current showrunner. It starrted with the girls and him talking about how they had just wrapped season 6. They are are so proud of all the work put into making it and talked about how so many people are involved. After that Alex and Zibby started talking about how they hate public speaking which I get because I hate when all eyes are on me in any situation! Zibby asked him how he’d charactrize the show to the people who watch it. Sean said its a lot of things but he tries to keep to one thing and that for him it was about the characters not Zombies. He said also how it makes people feel, and that the cast is amazing so that as a writer knowing your work is going to talented actors is real. He also mentioned the romance too. Alex and him started bonding over the Virgin River game and that was funny to listen to. Zibby was just over there saying how she can’t play it becuase its too wierd fo her. Sean and Alex have played it though. Alex seems pretty into it she is too funny.

They started talking about the Robyn Carr who wrote the Virign River books. The girls were talking about how they want to interview her. I would personally LOVE this. I have never read the books yet because I know they are so different from the show but I think it would be so interesting for them to talk to her. Sean talked about taking over the show and wanting to make sure it is done good. Zibby talked about a particular season from Season 6 that was thereputic for her and in the middle of her talking Alex started putting on lip gloss.

Alex cracks me the hell up that was too funny and then Zibby put some on too and they literally at the same time started rubbing thier lips with their finger to make sure it was on good. I laughd out loud at that. lmao They talked about their takeaways from Season 6. Zibby kind of answered a little for Alex and talked about perspective and how thats helped Alex. Zibby said she had a diffuclt time this season. She said her take of of is more about that the season held up a mirror to where she realized her insecurities need some love. She said she also felt a lot of compassion from those around her. She said it was like a growth for her. There was also a moment where Alex once again said that everyone needs a friend like Zibby and that they are missing out. She says to go find your own Zibby. So cute.

Sean said he is proud of Zibby and Alex for doing the show and doing the pod. Sean talked about how he started writing. He said it was from a young age he’d write reviews for the school newspaper when he was like 12. He said he always has had a love for movie and tv. He went to college at UT Austin and got started in indie films. From there he went onto LA and thats how his career took off. He mentioned coming out as well and I find that so courageous. It was really after he worked with someone who did the movie Hope Floats that made him realize he wanted to write. Its so cool to hear a different perspective of the jobs in the business. I love writing as well as you can all see by this website and doing the reivews so I thought his story about that was awesome and interesting. He talked about how proud of him his parenets were. Zibby had a funny moment where she almost called him Seanathan and Alex laughed saying she’s coming up with her own nickanames. Me too Zibby, me too. I’ve been calling you ZibbyZib in my head lately. LOL They talked about the movie Labrynth and Zibby said how she had birthday partys themed Labrynth when she was younger. Alex talked about how her friend had a clue themed birthday party and she was Evette the maid. They closed out the episode saying how they’re excited to see where life takes all them and talked about sets. Another great episode!! Loved it! This was filmed the day of the Season 6 wrap party.

The next episode was their monthly AMA. Alex talked about her finger tattoos, and if she’s ever had moments on set of not getting along, The girls talked about their favorite teachers, if they ever had shot one scene in one take, and how emotinal scenes can be hard to approach. They talked about Christams and Alex talked about what she got for Christmas. Zibby is in Socttland with her husband becuase his family lives out there. She talked about a puzzle that her husbands sister got them of their faces. They talked about their favorite colors, doing table reads, and Alex said she isn’t ready to go back yet for Season 7.She has anxiety about having to leave & filming long days. Although I think the filming she is talking about is for a movie. She said she’s still healing from her back surgery. Someone asked Zibby about herbal remedies so she talked about that. Zibby loves her herbs!! Shes the herb queen! She reccomends a school called Herbal Acadamy that you can take courses or something on. She also reccomened a book called Modern Herbal Decespencary that you can read. Zibby took some courses through University of British Columbia online.

Alex gave some advice on getting picky kids to eat their food. They talked about shooting and editing the podcast. Zibby said its not heavily edited beacuse they don’t have the time do it and its also not the kind of podcast that they are. Zibby briefly mentioned my recaps which she was going to try to find my comment. but I think got distracted. She’s so sweet and I thank her for the love!! Alex talked about working with Martin and his emotinal response to a particular scene. She talked more about working together with him. Alex talked about feeling overworked when she first joined the show. Zibby chimed in with her thoughts too. They gave a fan adivce on if she should move to another state or not! I loved their replies to her and that was such great advice. Alex and Zibby are so good! Love them.

They talked about freindship before turning into a relationship. Alex says she doesn’t feel that you need to be freinds with someone before getting into a relationship. She says open communication is important. Especially when you first start dating someone. She talkeda about how Jack was first closed off to Mel in the beginning and how it was diffcult for Mel to deal with. Zibby agreed with her but says she feels some people have to learn how to but overall agreed with Alex on everything. Alex said there was a scene in Season 6 in the wedding where they were dancing that you seee her and Martin in the bacground laughing and talking. She said that was not aprt of the scene that they were probably laughihng about him stepping on her dress. They closed out the episode telling each other how much they miss the other and then Zibby mentioned a book shes reading. I swear this friendship they share so beautiful and rare. I love it,. I love this podcast!

Well this is it! I’m almost all caught up on the podcast now so after the next recaps the recaps will be on their monthly AMAs until they start putting out episodes for Season 2. I’m so happy to be doing them and love that the girls are enjoying reading them! The Podcast Page shared my last recap again, so sweet! So I think I’m gonna do just the next two episodes this time becusae this got long again due the random episode having me in tears and me having SOOO much to say!!

So this next episode was wiht Andy Mikita who is a director that has worked with the girls on Virgin River’s earlier seasons. He said he’s been doing directing for 20 years and has several hours put into it. The girls spoke about working with them , they talked a lot about the relationshpo between the actor/director. He talked about different experiences on set. The interview was really awesome and insightful as you really got to get more of a look into how a TV show is made. There is just SOO much that is put into it.Actors need a lot more credit! He seems like such a wonderful nice guy! There was a funny moment where Zibby spooke about being a writer and I think you can get this vibe she thinks her wirting isn’t that good and Alex reaction that was so funny!! She almsot started giving her shit for her it but she just gave Zibby a funny look instead! Andy was surprised to learn that Zibby did theater so they talked about that a litlte bit. It was a great episode!!

Okay so I’m on the next episode. I am only 17 minutes into it and I’m cryiing. They got into a discussion about the photoshoot they had just done and Zibby opened up about how she had a hard time with it. Zibby has spkoken so many times on the pod about how she is hard on herself with certain aspects like how she looks sometimes, or how she does a scene. I just want to say Zibby if you are reading this that you are NOT alone in that feeling of being hard on yourself. I think that’s why I started crying because I am the same way only with me it isn’t so much about my looks as it is about certain actions I do that I just dwell on at times.

A lot of things I’m hard on myself about is stuff that my best friend (she’s my Alex, her name is Natalie) is always telling me i need to forgive myself for becuase what happened wasn’t actually my fault. I would give SOOO much to have a sitdown conversation with you and Alex on the pod to talk about those things with you guys but I know that you have a certain format that you follow with the podcast. I just sit here and as I watch these episodes of you guys I wish SOOO badly I was a part of that friendship the two of you have because it is so deeply special! I hope you understand what i mean there when I say about being a part of the friendship! But I also have that special friendship with Natalie. And Zibby I just want to say I’m proud of you for being so open and honest and talking your way thorugh it, and letting Alex be there to console you that day even though you didn’t want to cry you still let her in. And Alex i hope you know how special that moment was because I can tell just by watching this and Zibby’s even mentioned that before that she just doesn’t let anyone in and doesn’t trust that easily so it is so fucking special you two shared that moment! I know it is hard and I’m so thankful you let Alex in like that because you need someone like that much like I need Natalie! xox Anways back to the recapping!!

Alex mentioned how they both (She and Zibby) both have an internal struggle when it comes to themselves. Alex has mentioned a couple times on the pod about being bullied when she was younger. I was bullied to and its aweful. You know what though Alex I am so proud of you becuase look at you out there in this life, living your best life, on the best TV show showing them all that you are NOT stupid! You’re brilliant beautiful and the best Mama, and the best freind who needs to protect Zibby at all costs!! Oh and Alex!! I need to tell you my sister had the same thing happen to her with her two boys when she was having them! The oldest who is 12 now did not want to come out so it led to the doctor doing a c-section, and with the second they had to use the suction thing to get him out during the c-section! The only difference with her story is she never pushed with either of them. LOL. The rest of the episode they talked about the photoshoot some more. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this ended though becaus Ben texted Zibby at the end a little peek of her pictures from the photoshoot and she actually really liked how it turned out. Alex gave her a little I told you so and they high fived!! I agree Zibby that Alex is such a good friend!!

Well guys two more after this and then I’m caught up!! It has been so much fun!

I’m getting so close to being done with the binge! I ended up only doing three recaps this time even though I inteded to do my usual. The probelm was I wrote so much I didn’t want to make the article be so long! The interview with Jenny was so good I spent a lot of time on that part! Lol! Its been fun ya’ll!!

So episode 25 is another AMA. They talked about what fragrence they use, boating, what makes them excited. I think my favorite question this episode was the one about doing live shows! They said they might do that and I think that would be so fun. I would sooo go if they did one near me. If not I’d get my sister and we’d fly to one. haha. Alex talked about working with Daniel Gillies who played Mark. Alex’s daughter and son made a small cameo they are adorable!! Oh and Alex’s kitty made a cameo too. Her kitty Dolly reminds me of my cat Dixie. So cute. I’m a cat person too.

The next episode is another random with just the two of them. 15 minutes into it and I was already laughing. Alex choosing if she were an animal that she’d be a beaver was actually perfect becuase the way she talks I could totally see that. Zibby being mind blown by that being the animal she chose had me dead. I can’t with these two. Alex talked about a documentary she watched while having a martini. One again they had me laughing.

Alex talked about how she used to get panic attacks when it came auditions and stuff. That was such a relatable convestation when it came to the panic attack aspect. My anixety can be a joke at times so I know what thats like. I am glad she is better now. They took some questions at the end one of them was advice would they give each others characters. Alex said she’d tell Brie not to get back together with Brady. Zibby gapsed and said she’d piss a lot of people off. HAHA. Zibby said she’d tell Mel tot take time to herself becuase she’s alwyas helping others. The next question was did their freindship click right off. The answer was no because they didn’t really hang out the first season Zibby was on. Zibby said it wasn’t until the second season when she was on. Alex said they dont’ really know it just kind of happened and felt like they’d been friends forever.

The next question was asking if they live in the same state and Zibby answered that! They have talked about this before how they live in the same city that Zibby and her hubby moved there because they loved the area and that way she was closer to Alex too. The last question if they ever break during filming. Alex said it happend when they filmed the baby shower scene and Mel takes Brie outside. She said after the scene they just busted up laughing the two of them Zibby said the other time was when Brie brought her muffins. So cute!!

The next episode is their interview with Jenny Cooper who plays Me’ls sister Joey on Virgin River. I am only 16 minutes into it but I am loving it!! I always knew she looked familiar to me and I looked her up real quick to see what she’s been in before I started watching and saw it wasn episode of Greys Anatomy in Season 12. That’s why she has looked familiar to me. Love me some Greys. We need to get Alex on there since I feel like she’s the only one from Virgin River that hasn’t been! Also can they Zibby too bc I want some nurse Zibby reapperance. LOL.

Anyways Jenny talked about how she will come to Vancouver and shoot all her scenes for Virign River’s season they are working on in 2 days. She talked about how one time she was up all night before having to film the next day. The girls related to her on that as its happened to them before too. Jenny mentioned how working with Alex she will go into a scene with her and she will have it in her head how it will go but Alex never does what she thinks she’s going to do. Zibby agreed with her and laughed saying how she was right. They reassured Alex it was a compliment and Jenny went onto say how Alex is an anchor for her on the show.

Jenny talked about how she got into acting, she talked about writing a movie script that one of the proudcers on Virign helped her put out ther and how she found out she was pregant with twins & that the script got picked up at the same time. Her and Alex related about having kids and filming, Jenny is getting into directing. Alex asked her about getting the role on VIrgin River since she knew the proudcer. Jenny explaimed she loked at the script and it was for Charmaine(I thought this was interesting) but as she read Joey’s lines as well she felt she was more of a Joey. Roma the producer showed her pictures to someone who said she looks too much like Alex to be Charmaine so lets do the sister and so Jenny submitted her stuff and that it took a little while to hear back but she got the role of Joey! I love that story! I agree she’s the perfect Joey. They all talked about Virgin River, and fan recognition. Zibby asked about self belief and they all spent some time talking about that. It was such a great inspiring conversation. The girls closed out the conversation by asking Jenny what she loves about herself. She said her heart and how she cares about others. That would be my answer as well I think! Loved this interview so much!

I just love this podcast so much! The girls are so great and I’m proud of them for all they have done so far with it and how they do each episode!

Trigger Warning: Talk of Suicide in one of the recaps

I’m back!! You know it makes my day to know that Alex & Zibby are really enjoying my rreview and racaps! I got to credit them for the inspiration for it! As I said before it was them talking about how no one writes real articels anymore and just uses AI that really inspired me to do this for them. I LOVE to write. Its so theraputic. Especailly being a caregiver to my mom it really gives me something to do during the day. I live with her and take care of her. I’m only 40 and my mom is 64. As I mentioned before she has early onset Alzheimer’s and I caregive for her so living with her gives me a lot of time! Listening to the podcast and writing these articles has really given me someting to do! Now onto the recap/review!!

Episode 21 was another AMA, with Zibby and Alex! As I said before even the episode is just them and no interivew its still so enteraining becuase they both make me laugh sometimes. They talked about what they do for skincare, they were asking about running and both said they hated it. Someone asked them about aging gracefully and Alex cracked me up because she said to ask her again when she’s 60, Alex mentioned how she hated cleaning, and I had to laugh again because it made me think of my sister. The funny thing is as I listen to these episodes I’ve actually been sending my sister little clips here and there becuase she and Alex are so much alike. Alex will say something and I’ll get the clip and send to my sister and be like “I’m dead this is so you”. My sister and I were huge fans of This Is Us which Alex was on so she knows who Alex is too. They also got on the serous subject how to not care what others think as someone put in a great question on that. Overall the episode was great!

The next episode was a random episde again and it started off really sad becuase Alex talked about how she had recently lost her friend to suicide. Zibby was also having a rough day. I’m glad that they had each other to help each other get through. Alex I’m so sorry for your loss! It is crazy how both of you have had that same type of loss now at least you had Zibby there for you to help you through as she knows what it is like to lose someone to that. I thought it was interesting about them mentioning their losses being in the month of April. April is a tough month for me too girls. When Zibby mentioned her brothers death date being April 24th I was like omg… becuase I already think her and I are so much alike but then she mentioned that and I was like wow because my dad passed away on April 29th. THEN Alex mentioned her friends passing being on April 11 and I was like omg again because my Mom’s mother who was like a second mom to me passed away on April 13th. I also lost my Dads dad on April 6th so April is def a tough one!! Take me on that trip wtih you girls!! LOL jk.. but you guys shoul def do that trip! They also talked about watching themselves and Zibby mentioned how she doesnT like to think of others watching her, and Alex immediatly wanted to help her fix it but Zibby said it can’t be.

Episode 23 was their interview with Sarah Dugdale who plays Lizzie on Virign River! I loved this interview. I was so suprised to learn that she is in her late 20s! I thought she was at least early/mid 20s in real life. Sarah talked about how she already lived in Vancouver and how its so nice that her job for Virgin River is right there. She said she loves being by all of her family and friends. She talked about how she likes to take days to herself to relax and that she’s introverted. They asked her what other acting jobs she has done. She talked about the Christmas movie she did and the horror movie she did. Sarah said she would love to do more horror movies. The girls asked her about her skincare she said she goes to a place about an hour away from her that does facials. They talked about her love for theater and I was suprised to learn that Sarah sings and plays instruments! She was such a joy to listen to it was such a great fun interview. The girls were so excited and enthused to have her there.

The next episoe was with Kai Bradbury who plays Denny on Virgin River! This was such a great interview. The girls had such great questions for him. They talked abouit what it is like acting for him since his of different race (he is half japanese) they were curious what it was like for him like getting different roles and stuff. I thought it was a great question and they were respectful to him as well it was no way racist what so ever. Just wanted to explain that because I’m horrible at explaining things sometimes. He talked about how speaks fench and his native language. He loves to dance, loves theater. Kai said he got started doing improv when he was younger. I LOVE the conversation he had about playing a character with Huntingtons disease. He talked about the response he got from that community of playing that character. He has reasearched the disease it and wants to work with HD orginazations. Zibby spoke about how she related as she had a big response with Brie’s SA story on the show. I think Virgin River has handled these things so beautifuly. When it comes to Brie’s SA and actually a fan of Briady, I sincerely hope they make it that Brie declines MIke’s proposal and decides to work on herself and her trauma from the SA. I think this would be so amazingly done and Zib is such a great actress it would be so great for her to present this to the audience as it might help others who have that trauama like Brie. Alex talked about how she bought a little airstream for her to chill in while on set and that they take it for her every location that she films for Virigin River. Its named The Mother Ship. Lol! I thought that was so cute. They talked about actors being percieved as crazy which I thought was an interesting conversation. Kai talked about how he brought his famiily to the set and showed them around and how they got to see people filming. He and Zibby played a cute little musical game and then Alex joined in too! Kai also talked about he likes how he can cry so easily and is overly emotional at times. He said he used to hate it but now he embracees it. I’m over emotional too!

Fun fact I’ve actually been to a set of TV show before and got to watch it being filmed! Once when they had a tapiong and then another time when it was a closed set.. Danielle Fishel who played Topanga on Boy Meets World actually brought me to the set of Girl Meets World TWICE when it was on Disney Channel. I got to have lunch with the cast the first time and then the second time was no lunch but I got to see everyone again! It was so much fun. Alex I know that you are a Sabrina Carpenter fan. I got to meet her on set actually as thats the show that got her started. She would get sooo excited to see me each time I came to set. I haven’t talked to Danielle in a bit as she’s been busy but she’s such a great person! There is whole story behind my set visit! haha.I have enclosed some of my fave photos of those visits at the bottom!! Time for more reviews and recaps of the best most wonderful podcast hosted by my favesies. Really guys if you don’t subscribe to this you must! Also I would like to add a trigger warning to this article as their mention of suicide and depression in one of the episodes that I’m going to touch on.

The next episode was with Virgin River writers Erin Cardillo and Rich Ketih who are best friends not just working on Virgin River together. They told the girls how some of the stories in Virgin River are based off events that have hapepned to them or the other writesrs in real life. It was interesting to hear them say how it is like that with almost all the characters. I knew that Rich looked familiar to me and then he mentioned he was on Greys Anatomy and how he loved working with Katherine Heigl. That was when it hit me thats where I’ve seen him from. I was hoping Zibby would mention how she was on there as a cute little nurse. Erin and Rich talked about how music helps them with inspiration when it comes to writing. I related to this a lot because I like to write stories and I usually have music on in my headset here at my computer when I’m writing. I even do it while writing these articles. They were so right music helps! They talked about how during the pandemic they started writing a small TV show about a woman who helps a man not kill himself by jumping off a bridge and how it turns into a love story. I thought this was so intersesting as something similarly happend in real life with my best freind Natalie. It wasn’t a love story or anything but she’s an aspiring law stuiden who graduates in June in Seattle and takes her Bar over the summer. She was driivng home one night in Seattle and I can’t remmeber if it was work but she saw this man was going to end his life by jumping off a bridge and she got out of her car and basically saved him by talking to him. She made sure he got the help he needed, got in contact with his family etc. He told her if it wasn’t for her stopping he would have went thorugh with it.

The episode after this was a bit of a short one. It was a random one with Alex and Zibby but also so funny. I was laughing all thorugh it. It was recorded on Alex’s birthday weekend. She and Zibby had a girls weekend with two of their friends. They went to a spa, stayed at a hotel and Zibby talked about how she accidentally booked a King Size bed room but they slept in the same bed anyway. They told the funny story of how they have the nicknames Bruce and Eilleen. It was such a funny epiosode!!

The next episode was with Dan Payne. It was such a great episode where they touched on an important topic and that was mental health and suicide. I thought it was so brave for Dan to open up about how he got in a very dark moment of his life, almost ending it and how he pulled himself out of it, as well as talked about his depression. I also thought it was very brave for Zibby to open up about her brother who did end his life. My heart hurt listening to both of them. Its so hard when you get dwon and get that feeling. I have personaly been there as well but it was more so because of my anxiety being so bad to a point where it made me down, as well my situation of being a caregiver to my mom who has early onset Alzheimer’s. Dan is way better now and hes at place where he likes to talk about it because he wants to help other people. The conversation then turned very lighthearted and funny towards the end. I had tears from laughing. He talked abouit playing Volleyball in Holland, he talked more about his career, and he had Zibby and Alex in tears laughing so hard as he told them about a web series he was in. I think think seeing them laugh so damn hard was my favorite part. I love seeing people happy. I also loved when they talked about how they are upfront some times if something in a scene is bothering htem like background noise and stuff. This was such a fun interview! I knew Dan looked familiar to me and its because he was in Once Upon a Time and The Decendents!

The next episode was an interview with director Monika Mitchell. She was an absolute delight to listen too! She gave the girls such incredible nice an kind compliments. She talked about directing and opened up about therapy. Alex talked about how she needs to not socialize after she gets home from a long stay in Vancouver shooting Virgin River. It made me think of my sister who is similar in that way even though they have two completely different jobs. They talked a lot about filming. I think its so interesting to hear them talk about the aspects of filming it makes you realize there is so much that goes into making a TV Show. I love that they bring the directors, writers etc on! They talked about how being real can sometimes be precieved as being difficult to work with or being crazy. Loved this conversation they mentione Katherine Heigl and Zibby talked about how she worked with her on Greys Anatomy! Loved the Greys mention. It was such a great insightful episode!

Well guys I am almost caught up on the pod now so once I’m done with these reviews they will start coming once a month when the girls put out there monthly AMAs. I think it was mentioned that the girls are gonna do that until they start up Season 2. I know they return to Vanocuver soon for Virgin River Season 7. Hey guys I’m back with more reviews and recaps of Zibby and Alex’s pod!! First of all I need to shout out the podcast page for making a post thanking me! It made me so happy to see that and a thank you to Alex for shareing their post! I think Zibby almost mentioned it on the latest pod because she mentioned someone doing a review and wanting to thank them because they had asked a question but she got sidetracked. Just know that you all made my day and it meant a lot! I really hope you are liking these that I’m doing for you. I know i’m no professional but its super fun for me to write and work on! I plan to do this for all the episodes!! Even the AMA’s!

Now onto the recap for episode 13!! Episode 13 was the interview they did with Tim Mattheson! He is a delight to listen to! You can tell the girls absolutely love and think the world of him. He has been in the business for so long! Zibby said she’d love to have more scenes with him in Virign River beacuse they haven’t worked much together. She wants so badly to work with him. They really spent a lot of time talking about his directing, and his acting career, they talked about family. He and Alex related well to working away when having a family as she has to little ones back home she hates leaving. They spoke about his book and really wanted him to talk about that a lot. Overall Tim was a delight to listen to and the girls excitement for him was adorable! I loved the interview in getting to know more about him. I totally forgot he played Mandy Moores dad on This Is Us until Alex had mentioned it in another episode I think it was the one with Annette. Speaking of Annette, Tim shared photo recreation him that she and him did together, Tim and Annette not only worked on Virgin River together but have worked previously in the past! They have been long time freinds. SO cool!

In the next episode, ep 14 they talked about Teryl Rothery. I’m not gonna lie had I tears from laughing so hard at how this episode started out. They went into talking about farts. It was hilarious. What a way to start off girls!! Teryl is so so so sweet and funny. I just adore her. This was such a great episode. She has a young daughter that loves Alex on Horror Story. They talked about how Teryl got started in acting, and spent a lot of time talking about theater. Zibby has such a love for theater and has done so mnay plays. Teryl talked about being raised by her Grandparents and how she did dance class as a young kid. She talked about how empathetic of a person she is and that she hates to see others bullied. I’m right there with you Teryl! I hate that shit. Overall this was a fantastic interview!

Episode 15 was a random Alex/Zibby episode. They talked about their friendship, and interview with Tim. They were wearing matching jean jackets and talked about being little twinsies. And Zibby you looked just as adorable as Alex!! They talked about Astrologiy and Zibby read Alex off some things about her astrology which I thought was really cool. Oh and Zibby talked about having a girls night with Alex. Alex also mentioned how she has a projecter in her bedroom to watch TV on! ! Even i f these girls aren’t interviewing someone the episode is still so good becuase you get to learn more about them and their freindship. I love it!

The next interview was the one I’m sure MANY people were watiing for it was with Martin Henderson and it was so great! Love his accent! He and Alex spent a lot of time talking about working with each other and Martin got to interview them a little bit too! He spoke about his career, how he does scenes, how he does his acting, he talked about how he got started acting. He gave the girls many compliments! He and Alex were so funny talking about being on differnet wave lenghts. Zibby was so into the conversation and loved learning more about Martin. It was an awesome interview I loved it! I just love the pod so much!
